We have been using carbon brushes in grade LFC554 of Carbone Lorraine in our TNB Liberty Power Plant for almost 05 years for the GT I ST Generators and have found this grade to be very good in its performance. The unique current distribution and low coefficient of friction of LFC554 does no harm sliprings as well. Mohammad Razip Mohammad Yusof GENERAL MANAGER (PLANT)


---- TNB Liberty Power Complex ----

We are using CARBONE LORRAINE made carbon brushes for the last 13 years and as such have not faced any major problem or issues related to the quality of these brushes. We are using these brushes on our 323 MWatt turbo generators at a rotational speed of 3000rpm. The performance of these brushes in terms of these parameters have been found satisfactory. 1.Low friction coefficient, 2.Good current distribution, 3.Minimum electrical losses, 4.Less impact on slip rings, 5.Good life time.
